Healing Hope is extremely excited to introduce Amy Lockwood, DVM who will be introducing acupuncture to our clients, and assisting Dr. Hebbler!
Dr. Amy Lockwood graduated from UC Davis in 1997 and since that time has been practicing traditional small animal medicine. While always acutely aware of the importance of the human-animal connection, in the last five years, Dr. Lockwood has been studying this bond and ways to bring about greater healing in a more active way.
In 2008, she graduated from Matrix Light Institute's Energy Healing Training Program, a 3 year program focusing on the fundamentals of energy work and creating a deeper connection with self and others. Dr. Lockwood completed the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) 2008-2009 Acupuncture course and has been implementing this ancient healing modality into her current practice with great success. Also in 2008-2009, she completed the year-long Systemic Family Constellation facilitator training workshop in San Diego.
Knowing that animals are naturally a part of the family system, this work provides a way to look deeper, at the root of illness/behavioral change and provide a path for healing that surpasses the more traditional western path of treating only symptoms.
Dr. Lockwood is committed to her own spiritual and educational advancement, and is very excited to bring new modalities of healing in to complement her years of more traditional veterinary practice. Future areas of study include homeopathy, herbal, and possibly chiropractic medicine.

Although previously involved in traditional veterinary medicine back East, Eliza is truly enjoying learning and embracing the Holistic way, and is amazed by how powerful homeopathy can be. She received her certification in Reiki level 1 attunement at Heike's Reiki class, and has recently begun the journey of Vet tech certification here on the West coast.
In her spare time, Eliza volunteers in the community with Greenpeace, is a biweekly platelet donor at the Red Cross, is attempting to learn surfing, explores the foreign West coast, and is an avid photographer.
